Mr. Schenker is responsible for producing economic and financial market forecasts, writing market commentary, and managing the consulting projects of Prestige Economics, LLC. Since 2011, Bloomberg News has ranked Mr. Schenker one of the most accurate forecasters in the world across 31 different categories, including crude oil prices, natural gas prices, industrial metals prices, precious metals prices, foreign exchange rates, and U.S. economic indicators. In 2012, he authored two books, Commodity Prices 101 and Be the Shredder, Not the Shread. In 2016, his book Recession-Proof was published and was ranked a #1 Best Seller by Amazon. Mr. Schenker frequently appears on CNBC and Bloomberg Television, and his research is frequently quoted in the press, including The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg News. Prior to founding Prestige Economics, Mr. Schenker worked for McKinsey & Company as a Risk Specialist, where he was responsible for directing trading and risk initiatives on six continents. Before joining McKinsey, Mr. Schenker worked for Wachovia using the functional titles of Economist, International Economist, Chief Energy Economist, and Commodity Economist. Mr. Schenker holds a Bachelor’s with distinction in History and German from UVA, an M.A. in German from UNC Chapel Hill, an M.A. in Applied Economics from UNC Greensboro, and he will receive an M.A. in Negotiation summa cum laude from California State University at Dominguez Hills in May 2016.
