Ponder compelling texts demonstrating the complex situation of brewing within American history, including the intervening period of Prohibition. Have fun with Schlitz-related trivia, old advertising posters, slogans and even a recipe featuring Schlitz beer. These striking images, accompanied by written excerpts, anecdotes, and quotations illuminating the brewery s dynamic past, preserve the historical witness of these now-silent buildings-it being nearly three decades since their activity ceased. Peter T. Uihlein, 4th generation Schlitz family member (only family member living who also worked at Schlitz) is quoted, "I can still remember the sweet, yet pungent aroma of Schlitz beer wafting through the air during the daily brewing process. I believe Paul has captured these scents as an interpretive artist photographing this building, looking as if it were frozen in time." --Interview
