An intermittently suicidal man and a unicorn set out to save the world... or at least stop it turning completely evil. No, there's no punch line. At least not one you'd think is very funny. Ewan Coles just can't get it right. His memory is jacked, he jumps at the slightest noise, he can't even hang out with friends right. He is very much a nervous bloody wreck. But Ewan Coles has a pretty good reason. The world is a scary place when you've seen what he has. Demons, unicorns, monsters, physics and reality on its head. Villainous vine creatures, lives and memory of women and children ravenously stolen. He would join a support group, but where does Demonic Possession Anonymous meet? He could seek psychiatric assistance... but a man who comes to the office saying "Ive got PTSD from being attacked by memory-eating monsters" is going to be treated, not for PTSD. You can't run from your demons, personal or otherwise, if you're locked up in the nut house. And...what if he really does have a reason to be afraid? Evidence stacks up, signs of increasing danger not only Ewan sees. Signs that more than one world is going to need saving very, very soon. We're all running out of time in this life, perhaps more quickly than we think unless one extraordinarily sad and broken man can repair the damage to his soul and stand up to the darkness waiting at the corners of our existence.
