Linda and husband Paul live in Grand Marais, Manitoba, Canada during the summer and in Zihuatanejo, Mexico in the winter. Linda and Paul are both retired teachers from Winnipeg. They have four grown children and three grandchildren. They spent six years RVing and travelling throughout Mexico. Linda's first book, Living the Dream in Mexico is also available here at Amazon. Linda has written extensively on the internet, helping many people to enjoy travelling in Mexico. It was this travel in Mexico that inspired Linda and Paul to travel in Europe in a rented motorhome. This is Linda s second book, Living the Dream in Europe, which is based on their RV travels and experiences throughout Western Europe.Review:
We think that RVing is the best way to see Europe - in depth. For a first-hand look at how it's done and what it's like you couldn't do better than this book. It's Linda's second book about her RV travels and we enjoyed reading about her experiences in Europe just as much as we did reading about her Mexico adventures in Living the Dream in Mexico. - Mike and Terri Church --Mike and Terri Church
Linda's second book is like her first, an expansion of her e-mailed The Leonard Journals which we have followed for years. Unlike her first book, we have no way of attesting to its veracity, except to say that we found no contradictions in her first, much of which we had observed, and sometime taken part in, first hand! Linda doesn't have to exaggerate Stuff Happens to her! It is beginning to look like that is a Universal Law. (Ask her about the Sting Ray!) This book chronicles the journey of Linda and husband Paul, retired teachers from Manitoba, Canada during their three months of traveling around Europe in a rented RV christened Brunhilda . The Leonards live in both Manitoba and Zihuatanejo, Mexico, usually returning to Canada for the summer. Last year they flew from Zihuatanejo to Frankfurt, Germany and back to Mexico before their return to Canada. Herein lies the tale! The opening chapters give more than a hint of things to come. They seemed to have chosen the wettest and coldest spring/summer to RV in Europe, yet met it all with nothing worse than her signature Good Grief and sardonic grin. With its easy to read prose and accompanying photographs it's bound to be a great book. Linda, we're waiting for our autographed copy to match Living the Dream in Mexico . If you have ever dreamed of wandering around Europe at a leisurely pace (and who hasn t!) this book is for you. The book chronicles the author s and her husband Paul s experiences traveling in an RV throughout Western Europe and the UK. You will read about their adventures, and perhaps even be inspired to leave your armchair and create your own memories. Linda is a good writer who makes you feel as though you are travelling with her on the journey. --Nancy Mead
