Stephen Charnock (1628-1680) was a Presbyterian Puritan minister in Ireland and London. His best known work is his monumental "The Existence and Attributes of God," but his shorter works are just as valuable. This is a series of three sermons on 1 Timothy 1:15, "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners." In these sermons Charnock develops his theme that the greatest of sinners are the objects of the choicest of mercies.
