"From the State the exceptional individual cannot expect much. He is seldom benefited by being taken into its service; the only certain advantage it can give him is complete independence. Only real culture will prevent him being too early tired out or used up, and will spare him the exhausting struggle against culture-philistinism." - Friedrich Nietzsche  As a publication, Aristokratia unequivocally and unapologetically postulates ideas which challenge popular thought. Aristokratia is a publication for the Aristocrats of the Soul, the Creators of the Spirit and the Artists of the Mind. The concept behind Aristokratia presents a collection of essays on authors and artists such as Friedrich Nietzsche, Plato, Carl Jung, Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, Julius Evola, Rene Guénon, Oswald Spengler, Fernando Pessoa, Frithjof Schuon, Huston Smith, H. P. Lovecraft, Henry James, Emil Cioran, Nicholas Gómez Dávila, Aleister Crowley, and George Brandes. Aristokratia deals with the following topics: High Culture, Theories of Civilization, Philosophy, Aesthetics, Ethics, Morality, Cultural Criticism, Tradition, and Gnosis. It does not promote, nor attach itself to any contemporary model of politics. Rather, Aristokratia declares itself to be entirely divorced from the corpus of contemporary Western politics as it is currently defined, to create new socio-cultural paradigms which are primarily culture driven. Authors include Gwendolyn Taunton, Marek Rostkowski, K R Bolton, Brett Stevens, Boris Nad and many others... Articles Include:

  • Aristocratic Radicalism: The Political Theory of Friedrich Nietzsche
  • Amrtam Ayur Hiranyam: Julius Evola's Notion of Eschatology

From the Author:

I would like to begin this introduction by explaining what Aristokratia is - and what it is not. Firstly, Aristokratia is a concept both new and ancient. It is old because it looks back to the traditional foundations of culture and civilisation to lay its intellectual roots. It is new because it cultivates the growth of an entirely original system. Aristokratia does not represent the idle philosophers who dwell in their ivory towers and the literary prostitutes who write whatever they are paid to; rather we look to the heretics and the visionaries who concern themselves not with the piteous state of the arts and humanities of today, but with the strong and vital culture of tomorrow.Secondly, Aristokratia is not a vessel for plebeian politics. It does not promote any political platforms, theories or ideologies. It does however, criticise theories at the philosophical and speculative level. As for the naïve romanticism of the revolutionaries; this you will not find nor will you find the post-modernist rhetoric which populates the works of pseudo-intellectuals.As a publication, Aristokratia unequivocally and unapologetically postulates ideas which challenge popular thought. Furthermore, to encourage diversity of content we present contrasting opinions within a single volume. Aristokratia therefore does not express a unified concept, but rather an array of ideas. The only thing that they have in common is the subject matter or the theme, and whilst one author may espouse a particular idea, another author within the same issue may challenge it. The editorial purpose for this is to encourage active thought in the reader, rather than bland acceptance.

From the Inside Flap:

Aristokratia deals with the following topics:

  • High Culture
  • Theories of Civilization
  • Philosophy
  • Aesthetics
  • Traditionalism
  • Gnosis
