Robert Cettl is a freelance author, independent digital publisher, filmmaker and TESOL resource designer. A member of ALIA (Australian Library and Infromation Association), his works Serial Killer Cinema: an Analytical Filmography with an Introduction and Terrorism in American Cinema were published in the USA by McFarland & Co. Inc. and his populist trilogy Film Tales, Film Talk and Film Tags were published in Australia by Inkstone Press. His film non-fiction has been collected by such as Yale University Library, the BFI and the National Libraries of Australia and China. His digital video work is collected by Australia s National Film & Sound Archive in Canberra.
In 2010 he was awarded a SAR Research Fellowship at the Australia s National Film & Sound Archive in Canberra, researching representations of disability in Australian film, His conference papers were presented at the Textual Manipulation Conference of the Australia / NZ Bibliographical Society in 2011 in Adelaide and the Arts Activated Conference in Sydney in 2012. From 2011-2012 he taught English in Xinjiang Province, China. He resides with his partner in Adelaide, South Australia and operates the website Wider Screenings TM | Transgressor.
