A Chair in the Air helps kids to understand why it is important to focus and channel their energy at school, through sports or in any activity they do. I discussed the idea with my daughter and she identified with the main character, Nicky. Through the story, Mahini Yogini shows Nicky different yoga poses and the meaning behind them. In my favorite paragraph in the book, Mahini explains that "lots of energy is great but you have to use it well, if you know where you are aiming you will succeed, I can tell." It was fun to read and provided great quality family time. ~ Stu Woolman
