This is a collection of single panel, black and white magazine cartoons that were drawn by Bud Grace prior to the 1988 appearance of his newspaper comic strip "Ernie"/"Piranha Club", syndicated by King Features Syndicate. Most of the cartoons here appeared in various domestic or foreign magazines, however a few appear here for the first time. The collection is not suitable for children. Bud published his cartoons in almost every major American magazine that carried cartoons at the time. This is the first English language collection to be printed. Some of these cartoons are wacky, and some are just plain weird. And they're funny. It's Bud Grace at his best without the constraints of the newspaper comic pages.

Bud (his real name is Robert) Grace didn't start drawing cartoons until he was thirty-five. Before that he was (and I guess he still is) a PhD physicist from Florida State University. In 1981 he left his job and started doing what he should have been doing all his life. Never looked back.
