Roman Drake was a optioned screenwriter with name talent attached to his property in 2009, and graduated with a B.F.A in motion pictures and television in 2011. Roman says he was inspired to write American Slave, after seeing the greed, corruption, and lack of morals in a business that controls a meaningful art form. Roman also says that he finds humor and irony in his book being sold.
