Can we change our destiny? The answer, according to the gods of Rome, is no. It is as it should be. Until an arrogant, drunken god hurls his trident at a tiny, inhabited island instead of a lifeless rock, causing a cataclysmic crisis on Olympus. ***** Now that the Pello Islanders have been settled, the goddesses of Mount Olympus are breathing a sigh of relief and seeking other pursuits. Nona, the youngest of the sister goddesses, hears the call of love beckoning her and is eager to follow, but her sisters, Decima and Morta, may not understand and might even try to dissuade her. After seeing an attractive god passing by, Nona decides it's time she follow her heart. * Unbeknown to Nona, Decima has also been following her heart, and it leads her to a stoic river god who awakens a passion in her that thrills and confuses Decima. Now the goddesses must find a body for her AND figure out how she will raise her daughter as her destiny, written 2000 years ago when she was born, requires. In this satisfying conclusion to the Pello Island series, love reigns and anything is possible. From the Author:
While I wrote the Pello Island series, I fell in love with the three sisters who comprised the Parcae, particularly young Nona. She is beautiful and charming, and I when I decided to make Love's Destiny a story about the sisters, I imagined Nona longing not only for love, but for a child. She has spun so many lives, it made sense that she would want to hold a baby in her own arms. Finding the right gods for Nona and Decima proved easier than I thought, and I loved the idea that prickly Decima could be changed by love as Antonia had been in Pello Island 3.
