Glimpses of Glory offers a fresh look at what Jesus meant when He said to take the communion elements “In remembrance of Me.” Author Ron Kingham calls church leaders to restore vitality to the observance of the Lord’s Table which has too often become lackluster and empty. He explores the thesis that the One who designed the Table also designed human memory. To enrich memories of Jesus, church leaders are shown how to craft their communion services to resonate with the way memories are formed and retrieved. Kingham explores the meaning of memory in the Bible and harmonizes it with the findings of psychology and neuroscience. Significant emphasis is given to the synesthetic (multisensory) design of the Table. This book is a must read for all church leaders who long to breathe fresh life into their times around the Table.
