Right now, the Antichrist is preparing to take center stage in the cosmic battle between good and evil, between God and Satan. The Antichrist will go to war, literally and figuratively. There will be wars fought with bullets and bombs. Wars fought with lying words and empty promises. Culture wars, fought with power plays and intimidation. Jesus reassures us: "Do not be afraid" (see John 14:27). God is in control. The Tribulation leads to the Near Coming of the Lord, when Jesus returns. On that Day, God wins; Satan loses. Bible teacher Janice Valvano received insights as God showed her multiple passages of Scripture which reveal clear-cut patterns in the Bible. These patterns show the future with remarkable clarity. Valvano provides clear explanations, so you can make sense of the symbolism in the Bible and understand what will happen soon, during the lifetimes of many living today. Long ago, the biblical prophet Daniel was told that understanding of a prophecy he had heard would remain a secret until the time of the end (see Daniel 12:4-9). We are rapidly approaching the end of an age, but not the end of the world. Right now, at the end of this age, God is revealing the long-hidden meaning in biblical prophecies, giving our generation a picture of what God plans to do sooner in the near future and later in the far future. God wants us to seek His provision and protection, on natural and supernatural levels, so we're prepared for the long-awaited return of Jesus Christ.

I wrote my book, The Near Coming of the Lord, What The World Will Face Sooner AND Later, with the understanding that throughout history God does supernatural things in our world.Consider physical healing. In my 20's I prayed and asked God to heal me of chronic migraine headaches that had plagued me since early childhood. I never had another migraine headache (and regular headaches stopped too). In my 40's, when a woman prayed over my shorter leg, God instantly lengthened my right leg to match the length of my left leg.I've experienced emotional healing. When I was 3½ years old, I was sexually abused by a neighbor and almost died from suffocation. Perhaps that's when the spirit of fear took root in my heart. I forgave my abuser and resisted fear with trust in God. My favorite quick prayer is, "Jesus, I trust in You!"God brought about healing in my relationship with my late husband. He was a church-going man from a church-going family. But a year after we married, he announced that church was boring, so he quit going to church and went on to pursue a sinful lifestyle. My husband wanted me to join him in his sinful lifestyle. When I refused to engage in those activities, he badgered me with anger outbursts that put a black cloud over the atmosphere in our home.During the many years of my husband's badgering, I frequently prayed asking God to change his heart. After he was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he repented of his sins. He lived 18 months longer and prayed with me every day! Only in hindsight could I see the good that God brought into my life through those years of opposition. For example, I had been a people-pleaser, but I learned to consistently choose to please God over pleasing people. I learned to trust in God's plan for my life. Like a good weightlifting trainer, God enabled me to carry heavy burdens that made me stronger than before. God knew I would need that strength to accomplish my mission in life. When I was 12 years old, my teacher talked about the suffering of those poor souls in hell. I felt such compassion for them that I told God I wanted to give my whole life for the salvation of souls.Throughout my lifetime, my ministry has focused on evangelization to bring people into the Body of Christ and teaching to help them grow in a personal relationship with Jesus. My work history shows that commitment. I was a preacher traveling to various states to present 5-day missions. I was a chaplain in a nursing home. I was the Director of Spiritual Ministries at my church. I taught World Religions in a high school, contrasting Judaism and Christianity with Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and Islam. Now I am an author and an international speaker going everywhere I can to tell people that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father!Review:
Reviews posted on Amazon.com:Anita: This book is absolutely powerful. Written by an expert in Theology with a true gift of writing so the ordinary person can understand the Bible and complex prophecies of the last days. Excellent read and look forward to more !Carlos: I personally know the author and she is a very knowledgeable, spiritual amazing person and writer. Get the book. You will not be disappointed.Tammy: Excellent book!Dianne:I highly recommend this book. I believe that you will want to read it more than once!I suggest you read the beginning portion that is available by "Looking inside" here on the Amazon website. This would allow you to learn how Janice Valvano came to write the book and also see that she has an extraordinary ability to communicate. Her definitions, explanations and illustrations are excellent! In the early chapters that are available to preview, she lays a strong foundation by introducing the tools and significant words that will help the reader understand later chapters. I especially liked the following things:· Knowing whether an interpretation should be literal or symbolic or both.· How a biblical pattern or parallel is often referred to as a type and its fulfillment.· The differentiating of the various wars.· The types and fulfillments of the Feasts of the Lord.· The way Chapter 29, Worship, teaches about our relationship with God.· Part Four-Tribulation (Chapters 14 through 17) describes some very interesting perspectives on the seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven bowls that are described in the Book of Revelation. In this section of the book, Janice's many hours of research are apparent. I found that a number of Scripture passages took on new meaning for me, as they were related to the findings of her detective work. For people who like study groups, the discussion starters that are included at the back of the book will be helpful. There is also a chronological index, a chart index and a topical index. All are helpful for further study. This Book will help you consider new ideas and concepts. I would encourage you to read the book with the following thought expressed by Janice in the book:"The process of writing this book was both wonderful and difficult. It was wonderful because I've had a lifelong love of the Bible and I got to focus my time and attention on what God says to us in His Holy Word. It was difficult because I had to struggle to change my expectations of what would happen in the near future. My struggle reminded me of the struggle faced by many Jews at the time of Jesus' First Coming. Some accepted Jesus, but others rejected Him because He did not meet their expectations. During Jesus' lifetime, there was heightened expectation that the Jewish Messiah would arise to restore the kingdom of Israel. The Messiah would be a political leader from the lineage of King David, who would restore self-rule to the Jews and restore the prominence of Israel among the nations. The first-century Jews based their messianic expectations on prophecies in the Old Testament that foretold what the Messiah would do. They expected a warrior king who would defeat their enemies and save their nation from oppression. Their expectation of the Messiah's actions was correct; however, their expectation of the timing was incorrect. They expected it to happen in their lifetimes; instead, it is quite likely that it will happen in our lifetimes."If our expectations are incorrect, that could keep us from recognizing significant things that relate to the end times, just as happened for the Jews during Jesus' time on earth. The author of this book is a personal friend of mine. I learned that she was writing this book when she told me she would like to present some teaching to a group and needed a place to meet. I helped her locate a place to meet and invited some friends to the group. While attending those classes, I wanted to know more about what she had presented. I was willing to consider her new insights, because I already knew that Janice has an intimate relationship with the Lord, a strong faith, and a thorough knowledge of the Bible. The classes were informative and exciting and that created a desire to know more.I started to read a book about health this morning, and the author made two suggestions that I think are fitting when reading The Near Coming of the Lord: What the World Will Face Sooner AND Later.1. Read this book in its entirety. You don't have to do so in one sitting, but you don't want to miss a single chapter, because there are hidden gems in each one that could transform your life.2. Keep an open mind... .
