I am an artist and writer, living with my husband in St. Petersburg, FL. I grew up in a little town south of Boston, MA in a large Irish, Catholic family. I attended college and worked in the medical information field for 30 years, in which time I cared for my own family and enjoyed life on a small animal farm on Maryland's Eastern Shore. I relocated to Florida in 2005. With my daughter launched into college, I put away the medical transcription for good. Thus began a crazy journey into the field of the arts, including painting on canvas and showing in galleries, performing large street paintings at chalk festivals, and building a 12-foot tall walking puppet who marched in parades. One of the great benefits of working in the arts is the delicious fodder for storytelling. I will have more illustrated adventures to tell.
