A native of California whose family history there dates back to 1845, Jackelen Boyer’s parents encouraged her education, pursuit of her dreams, and pride in her heritage. Even after earning her degrees and becoming a Home Economics teacher, learning became a constant way of life. In 1982, she left teaching to start a clothing design business. Falling in love with Ron was totally unexpected and gave her new joy, which has resulted in this book. Jackelen still sells jewelry on eBay, does charity work, helps with her two grandsons and travels, learning new skills and encouraging others along the way.
