Jewish Jesus: From Ziklag To Full Recovery

9780992104665: Jewish Jesus: From Ziklag To Full Recovery

In acknowledgement of all those who, like King David, and countless others, before and since, have suffered a personal “Ziklag.” In the following Bible story, “Ziklag” is synonymous with the “loss of all things.” This book is about “Jewish Jesus,” who had the “Ultimate Ziklag Experience” on the Cross 2000 years ago. The good news is, it didn’t end at the Cross, or at the tomb. And neither does it have to end there for you or I. This is a story about Recovery! Recovery of all things! This Recovery includes Recovering the “Jewishness of Jesus and the Gospel ,” thus, “Jewish Jesus.” In the following pages we will discover why this is important and how it relates to us. From Ziklag to full recovery of all things, may God’s name be praised as you follow me through the pages of this book. May you find hope, healing and full recovery of things you have lost, in the name of “Jewish Jesus,” Amen. 1. 7 Then David said to Abiathar the priest, priest, Ahimelech’s son, “Please bring the ephod here to me.” And Abiathar brought the ephod to David. 8 So David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” 2. And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” Who hasn’t been pressed down with sorrow or grief over some great loss or pain at one time or another? And in a measure that, at the time, seemed almost unbearable? Physical pain is one kind of pain. Financial debts are another kind of pain. Emotional pain over the loss of a loved one is another kind of pain. Heartbreak is another kind of pain. A rebellious child is another kind of pain. Loss of a career is another kind of pain. Divorce is another kind of pain. The list is endless in its various forms and manifestations. The bottom line is this … pain is still pain no matter where it is. And some-times if feels like “full measure pressed down” = Ziklag! Not only does the Lord reply to David's request by saying, “pursue,” but He says, “for you shall surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.” How much more positive could this response be? This is a message about Recovery of all things.

About the Author:

As a born again Christian for more than 30 years and a serious student of God’s Word: my greatest joy and passion is teaching the great truths from the Bible just as it is written. My faith in God and His calling on my life has led me to many countries, as a friend to the poor and hurting; involved in various projects … from delivering humanitarian aid and Bible’s in the Russian language, to spiritually starved Ukrainians after the fall of Communism and the former Soviet Union, to supporting orphanages in India and helping 85,000 poverty stricken Soviet Union Jews make “Aliyah” to Israel. In addition, at the Lord’s command, and with His help, the help of my family, and many others, I re-opened, and re-established an old country church which had been abandoned for 10 years prior. I’ve had my share of poverty, living and ministering to the poor in under privileged areas. And I am absolutely convinced God has a better plan. This plan, for man’s blessing and increase, is contained in His Word. God’s roadmap for success. I am all for helping the poor and needy, but I am also convinced that God also has a better plan for increase than continual handouts. This plan is contained in the Word of God. “For I know the thoughts I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11 KJV. In other words, God’s plan for the poor, the destitute, and those struggling to survive financially, is to give them a hope and a future. Praise God! That’s what this book and my life is all about. Discovering the plan of God for my own life and helping others find God’s better plan for theirs. I am married and presently living in Colombia, South America, where I am ministering to … you guessed it … the poor. I’m telling everyone about the goodness of God and that His plan for their lives is a good one, for in-crease and multiplication, and not an evil plan for more suffering, defeat and misery. This is the power of the Word of God to set the captives free! Amen! Your friend for multiplication, increase, and God’s very best in your life. Marvin
