9780995545502: The Power Of Acting: discovering the person behind the mask

ACTING is a vast and relatively unknown subject ... for many. And yet millions are fascinated by it. Why? The answer is because this all-encompassing human art form is as fundamental to the self-actualisation of a human being as reading, writing and maths. We sense this and we know it. Surely the possession of such knowledge would be of great advantage in any profession, in any walk of life, and not just the preserve of stage and film? Why are we not taught these playful and transformative skills in school? This book uncovers why, and reveals top acting secrets, techniques and games that will dramatically change the way you see yourself and the world around you.

About the Author:

Josephine Larsen’s professional career can be tracked through the Berlin Cabaret scene, French Cult Film, German Rock Opera, Experimental Fringe, State Funded Classical Theatre, Poetry in Performance, as well as German, American and British T.V., FILM and RADIO. In parallel, and unknown to many, Josephine has been working constantly as an innovative teacher, inspiring new waves of creative thought with the development of a unique system for coaching actors and non-actors in the power of imagination, intuitive confidence and creative self-expression. She has qualified as a teacher of the performing arts and is trained in humanistic counselling, hypnosis, neuro linguistic programming and psychology. Her work continues in the research of the untapped imaginative genius of the human mind.
