9780996484404: The Every Woman's Guide to Equality: How achieving real equality will change women's lives forever!

The Every Woman’s Guide To Equality

Equality for women is as distant a goal as it has ever been.  Inequality exists in our medical and judicial system, the work force and in our home life.

Our complacency and silence, coupled with the media, and politicians' and pundits' ongoing negativity, has created grave situations for women in the US.

Would you believe me if I told you

we can achieve equality with changes to our everyday behavior and the way we think?

achieving legislated equality, and protection and safety for women in the United States will happen by finding and embracing our most basic commonality as women?

through this change, we will become a powerful voting and purchasing power able to transform ourselves, as well as the state of women both here in the US and around the world?

Believe me. Our time is now.

The Every Woman’s Guide to Equality takes a different look at women’s equality. It is a comprehensive discussion about how inequality exists in every area of women’s lives: the healthcare system, judicial system and work sector, and how negative behavior left unanswered diminishes the level of respect with which women are treated.

The Every Woman’s Guide To Equality is also a call to action offering you an opportunity to learn about inequality and how you can make a difference, today, to create an environment that is safe, welcoming and respectful for women.

About the Author:

Author, lecturer and Huffington Post columnist Carlynne McDonnell has been a passionate and outspoken proponent of social justice and equality for over twenty-five years. She has worked in fields considered non-traditional for women and has personally seen and been on the receiving end of inappropriate and unequal/inequitable behavior. In two of the industries in which she worked, male workers made sexual harassment and discrimination, and in some cases extremely inappropriate behavior, an art form. Over the years, even with all of her experiences in the corporate, community activist and non-profit worlds she became frustrated at the ongoing negativity towards women by politicians and the media, and felt that there was a need to do more than what was being done. She wrote The Every Woman's Guide to Equality to push the agenda for women's equality so she could see real change, now. Carlynne believes that women can achieve more and go further if they are educated, smart and prepared. Real change for women can only be achieved with hard work, vigilance, and the commitment that our capabilities are limitless. We will forever remain unequal if we do not stand together and commit to real change in our lifetime! Carlynne has a Master's in Public Policy and has been working in the corporate, education and non-profit worlds for over 30 years. She has presented workshops and keynotes on women's equality, leadership development and organizational strategy on the national and local level with women's organizations, colleges and universities and for the US Marine Corps.
