Throughout her varied careers as a lawyer, career counselor and workshop leader, Katherine Foldes has always put family first. When her son and daughter were very small, she began regular Family Meetings with them and her husband. It was amazing what their children contributed and how their meetings engendered cooperation! Ms. Foldes has over 20 years of experience organizing Family Meetings and Family Meeting workshops. Promoting happy families is her life-long passion. Finding no published resources on how to hold Family Meetings, she created a workshop with exercises and discussion on how to achieve a wonderful family life through these meetings. She then decided to write the Family Meeting Handbook; Here for Each Other, Hearing Each Other incorporating the knowledge and experience she had gained. Ms. Foldes has written articles in professional journals, newspapers and newsletters. She currently lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and two cats. Her children are now successful parents themselves.
