Mark Van Order lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife, four kids, and two dogs.
His career started as a nuclear reactor operator in the Navy. Following the Navy, Mark got his bachelor’s degree at Humboldt State University and worked as a software engineer for approximately six years prior to getting an MBA from the University of Oregon.
HP hired Mark directly from the MBA program and he spent the next 23 years working on new business opportunities. Some example programs include 3D imaging, high-resolution seismic surveys, target marketing systems for digital printing, digital projection, microfluidics, and dynamic identity verification.
After retiring from Hewlett-Packard, Mark started a consulting firm, Co-Innovators (WWW.CO-INNOVATORS.COM), and joined the business faculty at Oregon State University teaching classes in entrepreneurship and marketing.
His consulting practice focuses on helping organizations take practical steps to design and manage successful growth. Co-Innovators’ focus areas include clean tech and clean energy.
