Cambridge University Press is reissuing out-of-copyright works of enduring scholarly value for the researcher, the student and the book-lover. The books are selected by experts in their subject areas, and scanned on state-of-the-art machines at the University Printing House in Cambridge. Each book carries a brief description of its content, including its original publication date, detailing its significance today, and each has an attractive new cover. The Cambridge Library Collection was launched in 2009, publishing its first 475 books on 20 July, the day on which, 475 years ago, King Henry VIII gave permission to the University Press to print 'all manner of books'. The collection covers a wide range of subjects from Anthropology to Zoology, and will be welcomed by anyone who wants to possess their own copy of one of these important but often hard-to-find books.
