About the Author

Mary Jo Mirlenbrink Gerlach, RN, MSN Ed is a retired nurse educator from the Medical College of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, where she received the Outstanding Faculty Award for three years. Her experience also includes serving as Nurse Consultant and Program Director of the Certified Nurse�s Aide (CNA) Program at Family Life Enrichment Centers, Inc. in High Shoals, Georgia. A graduate of the College of St. Joseph, where she was named a Distinguished Alumni Nurse Leader, Ms. Mirlenbrink Gerlach is also a member of the American Nurses Association and Georgia Nurses Association.
