About the Author:

Robert Mankoff is the cartoon editor of The NewYorker. He is also a cartoonist, and more than 900 of hiscartoons have been published in the magazine in the past thirtyyears, including the best-selling New Yorker cartoon of alltime. He is the author of the book The Naked Cartoonist,published in 2002, about the creative process behind developingmagazine-style cartoons. He has also edited dozens of cartoon booksand published four of his own.

David Sipress has published over 400 cartoons in TheNew Yorker since 1998. His cartoons have been a weekly featurein The Boston Phoenix for more than thirty years, and hiswork has appeared in Time, Playboy,Gastronomica, Reader's Digest, The WashingtonPost, and many other publications. Sipress is the author ofeight books of cartoons and has illustrated several others.
