Second Quarter 119119« Attention is directed to the revised clearance data appearing in this publication, more particularly to the data pertaining to routing to and from or through Gateways. The detailed information has been materially amplified in this issue. Id RAILWAY LINE CLEARANCES. In addition to the "Gateway" clearance information inserted in this issue as already referred to in these columns, the body matter of Railway Line Clearances is partially reset from A. to Z. inclusive to accommodate detailed information regarding each railroad under the United States Railroad Administration and of other railroads in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The revised data is arranged in the following ordgr: Entire System, Entire System--Main Line, Interline, Through, Local. For all Interline routes inserted in railroad representation as well as in the Gateways the figures shown are composite for the two or more roads composing same. In each instance where Interline figures are shown in any railroad's representation, the figures up to the interchange point with connecting road are shown under the heading "Through" in the representation of the respective roads. In some instances where data has been secured for Through and Interline Routes which have been worked into the "Gateways," it has been found impossible.to properly compile same for insertion at this time under the respective railroad headings. This class of information is substantially complete for roads from A. to G. Beyond that initial compilation is under way for succeeding issue of the publication.
