Jansen, relieved by Bro. Cochrane. These boys are considerably "swelled up" over their new depot. It was surely needed there. Bro. G. W. Martin, Brewster nights, while consulting a specialist in the Twin Cities, was relieved by Paul Phelhe, a new man. Bro. Fahey has gone to the front, and third St. James is on bulletin. Bro. G. E. Price was elected as committeman on the Safety First Committee. Congratulations. Bros. O. S. Mann and J. E Smith divided up the two tricks at Bingham Lake recently, on account of the illness of Bro. Hix's mother calling for his attendance. Bro. G. V. Cook, taking in the county fairs, of late exhibiting his patent chicken feeders, is being relieved by Bro. Licht. Bro. R. C. Harrington, of Valley Springs, was called home to Bigelow on account of the serious illness of his father. We have from time to time made mention of changing the membership cards, which will necessitate giving each member a new certificate number. In order to complete this big task it was necessary for yours truly to be relieved from railroad duties by Bro. H. L. Glick. Commencing the first of the year each up-to-date member will be given a new certificate number, so if your new card does not carry your old number you will understand why. The C. & N. W. boys had a splendid meeting at Mankato, Saturday evening, September 22d, and much enthusiasm prevailed. On account of the "war time prices" and the cost of everything having soared skyward, the boys at this meeting instructed their general chairman to use every honorable means to reconvene the committee for a revision at an early date.
