In an unusual plot twist, he returned to university for a doctorate in English literature. He is the author and editor of several works including Frontier Cthulhu: Ancient Horrors in the New World, and The Strange Cases of Rudolph Pearson. He spends his days writing and teaching. Currently, he lives in Michigan with his wife and a variety of archaic computers.
