Synopsis

In Search Of The Castaways Or The Children Of Captain Grant is an adventure novel written by Jules Verne. The story follows the journey of three young people, Mary and Robert Grant, and their friend Jacques Paganel, who set out to find Captain Grant, Mary and Robert's father, who was lost at sea. The trio embark on a perilous journey across the globe, facing numerous dangers and obstacles along the way. They encounter pirates, cannibals, and treacherous weather conditions as they travel through South America, Australia, and New Zealand. The book is a thrilling tale of adventure, courage, and perseverance, as the three young protagonists overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges in their quest to find Captain Grant. Verne's vivid descriptions of the landscapes and cultures of the places they visit, as well as his imaginative depictions of the various dangers they face, make this book a classic of adventure literature.ALL that could be discovered, however, on these pieces of paper was a few words here and there, the remainder of the lines being almost completely obliterated by the action of the water. Lord Glenarvan examined them attentively for a few minutes, turning them over on all sides, holding them up to the light, and trying to decipher the least scrap of writing, while the others looked on with anxious eyes. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
