The kind of insurrection in the Chamber of Peers against the Minister emboldened them, and several sentences passed by the Royal Courts, and that of Cassation, in favour of journals which had been prosecuted, showed that the judges had grown weary of Government ascendancy, and were disposed to check rather than promote it.
