Here comes the Morn; Not like the merry maid that calls the lark And wakens labor to a joyful task; Nor with her rosy sister hand in hand--Young Health, with blushing cheeks and dewy lips, And eyes that laugh as gaily as the sun; But dull-eyed as the slave she calls to work, Looks wearily upon a world uncheered By dew-eyed flower or sprightly song of bird, Or aught that can awake the heart to joy.--Still on the Earth! cries Merlie, fie for shame! Heaven's a sweet place, and hell a lively one, But this is neither one thing nor the other. When comes your book to set the world on fire?
