George William Frederick, the Princo of to Great Britain, Electoral Prince of Brunswick-Luneburg, a and h. 17G0. of Frederick Lewis, Princk Of Wales, &c. abovenamod, by Augusta, yst da. of Frederick II, Dukk Of Saxk GtrrllA, was b. 21 May 17S8 at Norfolk House, St. James square aud Imp. the same day. El. KG. 22, iuv. 23 June 1749 and inst. (by proxy) 12 July 1750. On 20 March 1750/1 he tuc his Father as Duke or Edinburgh, Mahquessof Ely, VisCount Launcbston and Baron Snawdon, and tho next month, 20 April 1751, was cr. Prince of Wales and EARL OF CHESTER with rem. to his heirs, Kings of Great Britain. By the death of liis Grandfather, King George II, he, on 25 Oct. 1700, ascended tho throne as George III when all his honours merged in the Crown. XXIX. 1762, H.R.H. S., S. and ii. ap. of King Georoe III,was 4. 12 Aug. 1702 and, when seven days old, was, on 19 Aug. 1702 (previous to his baptism) cr. Prince of Wales aud EARL OF CHESTER, with rem. to his heirs, Kings of Great Britain. On 29 Jan. 1820 he nscended the throne as George IV, when all his honours merged in the Crown.
