Not illustrated. 1906 Excerpt: ...species differs from F.fuxca Hald., in the much more distinet umbilicus, thin texture, and the non-thickened inner lip. "Specimens may be seen in the National Museum (No. 123626) collected at Warm Springs, Pahrana gat Valley, Nevada, by Dr. O. Hart Merriam, May 25, 1891." This form, not previously described, is regarded by Mr. Pilsbry, who is an authority on the shells of this and allied groups, as a new species. It was found associated with Tryonia clathrata, elsewhere noted, the temperature of the water being ri;mii. Fluminicola fusca Hald. var. minor. Ash Meadows, Nye County, Nevada (Mus. No. 123624), F. Stephens, Mivfeh 4. 1891. Numerous (200) living specimens of nearly uniform size in spring. Fluminicola nuttalliana Lea. Shoshone Falls, Idaho (Mus. No. 58396). A large number of specimens, probably as many as two hundred and fifty, were collected at this locality by Dr. Merriam (October 10,1890), who found them clinging to the rocks in the stream. They vary consider ably in elevation of the spire, etc., but the form of the mouth is quite persistent. A dwarfed but characteristic aspect of this species occurs among the surface shells in the Colorado Desert. Suborder SCUTIBBAKCBTA TA. Section KmroixKsi.os.sa. Helicina chrysocheila Binney.
