The Union Dry Goods Co., Macon, Ga., has installed a new millinery department under the management of Mrs. Madge Woodward. William J. Julian, president of the company, was in the New York market purchasing their stock of millinery goods. J. II. Kosenstcin, manufacturer of ostrich feathers, has returned from an extensive trip West, sounding the trade on Fall business. Mr. Rosenstein reports that the trade is manifesting considerable interest in ostrich feathers and placing more liberal orders. His customers are so confident in the coming popularity of ostrich feathers as a Fall trimming that orders are in excess of those trken at a corresponding period last year. Judge Hough of the United States Court for the Southern District of New York has dismissed the petition in bankruptcy filed on March 12 against Phineas Gordon, wholesale dealer in women's hats, at No. 9 Bond Street, New York, on a settlement with creditors at 30 cents on the dollar, payable 15 cents cash and 15 cents note due August 1 next. Liabilities were about $77,000. Lou Goodman, one of the best known flower and feather salesmen traveling out of New York, formerly with Goodkind & Robinson, recently sales manager for the New York Millinery and Supply Co., has taken an interest in the Charles Riegelman Co., manufacturers of flowers and feat...
