About the Author:
"R K Shukla is Associate Professor in the Physics Department at Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur; a premier and autonomous institute affi liated to Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow. He has nearly 19 years of teaching experience at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. During this period he has taught many courses like Engineering Physics, Materials Science, Engineering Materials, Solid State Physics, Electronics, etc. Dr Shukla is actively engaged in research work, has published more than 40 research papers in international journals, and has presented 35 papers in national and international conferences. His area of research is Condensed Matter Physics. He has guided many a PhD students in their theses work and has been on the review panel of PhD theses of many universities. He is a member of the Board of Studies at Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, and has worked in various research projects of UGC and CSIR. He is also a reviewer of reputed journals like Philosophical Magazine. Archana Singh is Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur. She has completed more than seven years in teaching and has been teaching subjects like Electrical Engineering, Basic System Analysis, Network Analysis and Synthesis, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering Materials. She completed her BE in Electrical Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad. She has worked for more than 2 years in Tata Technologies Limited, a software company, in Pimpri, Pune. She also has experience in designing, development and customizing of various Oracle application modules. Professor Singh has published several papers in journals of international repute (papers in ISRTE, ICPS-09 and NCERU-09) and various conferences. She is a member of Department of Purchase Committee, Proctorial Board, at the institute level. She is also a life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and Institution of Engineers (IE). Professor Singh is currently pursuing PhD."
