I have been teaching people my kicking methods for many years in seminars and classes and I wrote Superkick after one such seminar (after planning to do so for many years). The exercises in the book are the same ones I used (and still do!) to build speed, flexibility and power in my kicks and the same ones that gave the ability to set 3 world records for the Guinness Book of Records 'high kick record' for the highest number of kicks in 10, 25 and 60 seconds (1989/90 editions). I make no promises that others can achieve what I have and the speed and agility I developed over the years in my kicking technique but I know that if you follow the drills, seriously practice and incorporate them into your training regime you will increase not only your flexibility, speed and power in your kicks but also, if you follow the steps laid out in the book you will do something else which is even more important; the ability to land your kicks on an unwilling target. I hope you enjoy the book and reap much benefit from it.
An amazing book teaching the art of Kicking by Guinness World Record holder Tony Higo. A simple book teaching the art of Kicking using photos of Master Higo demonstrating in a step-by-step guide that people of all ages can follow. Photos complimented by simple explanations of kicks, through Preparation, Delivery + Recovery. Features exercises, warm up, cooldown & stretches that will set you up to master the perfect kick. My son has managed to learn + almost perfect the "Box Splits", "Scissor Kick" and many others with this book and he only 5yrs old. Highly recommend this book. Kerry Frood
