This was my first effort to tell the story of the lovely and innocent A'maresh for publication. I included pencil sketches illustrating aspects of the tale. The book is a labor of love in epic poetry that was limited to five stanzas per poem as opposed to the current eight stanzas of the current edition. The language is my own invention of what I call modern archaic language. When I presented this story to a non-profit publishing firm, they understood it to be a translation of another language which suffered in my poor interpretation at best. Little did they suspect that there was no original language from which to be translated. Their misguided understanding led me to re-examine the text and I found an independent editor to help me improve the writing as well as to suggest where the writing needed to be extended and clarified. A new edition after this one was produced with newly created color artwork and the editing changes. I was impressed with this first attempt to tell the story to my family, friends and a wider audience. I was proudest of holding this book in my hands and seeing the words on a page of a soft cover book. It was a major milestone in my modest attempt to relate the adventures of A'maresh, Man Do Lin as I discovered them.About the Author:
