Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889–1951) was a world-renowned Austrian-British philosopher.

Born in Vienna, Austria, Marjorie Perloff is the Sadie Dernham Patek Professor Emerita of Humanities at Stanford University, and the author of sixteen books.
