Dr. Benita Yap is a 90-year old grandmother, historian, poet, educator, and storyteller. Married to Catalino in 1947. They were educators in one of the largest provinces in the Philippines, called Pampanga. With more than 65 years in academia, Benita continuous to have that sense of curiosity and wonder through the pursuit of lifelong learning. In 1993, Catalino passed and Benita poured her sorrow into poems resulting in this book. Her poems and short stories are on the intersection of family, shared meals, familial chronicles, entrepreneurship, and academia. Benita continues to write about her experiences, living interstitials, and relationships. This book is part of a series.
