Excerpt from Communism and Christianism: Analyzed and Contrasted From the Marxian and Darwinian Points of View
Not only, indeed, is the struggle against religion intellectually useful, but it cannot conscientiously be avoided, for religion is used against the Socialist movement by the possessing class in every country.
But to abolish religion is not to abolish exploitation. Because only one of the enemy's guns will have been silenced. The workers have, above all, to dislodge the capitalist class from power. The religious ques tion, and indeed all else, is secondary to this.

Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This fascinating book is a thought-provoking exploration of the interplay between Communism and Christianity. The author, a former bishop, delves into the historical and philosophical underpinnings of both systems, tracing their origins and evolution. The book examines the fundamental differences between these two worldviews, highlighting the tension between the supernaturalism of Christianity and the materialism of Communism. It also explores the ways in which these ideologies have shaped social and political structures, particularly in relation to issues of class and economic inequality. The author argues that while Communism and Christianity may seem diametrically opposed, they share a common goal: the creation of a just and equitable society. By examining the strengths and weaknesses of each system, this book challenges readers to rethink their assumptions about religion, politics, and the path to social progress.
