It is the refolution of the prefent Mi nif'rry, it is laid, to impofe taxes upon the Colonies, by the authority of the Britifh Parliament, and to compel the Colonies to fubmifiion. To examine the jul'tice and tthe policy of thofe meafures, and to fug gef'r others, which appear to me lefs ex ceptionable, in each of thofe particulars, is my object.
