The hearings before the Committee of Foreign Ai fairs oh the Rainey resolution have brought forward a so called Story of Panama which has been printed asa congressional document and distributed.
This story outside of various imaginary and mis leading facts enunciated by its author, is mainly based on the assertions of a plea written in 1907 in order to try with-out success to obtain, from a court of arbitra tion, a high fee of for services said to have been rendered to the New Panama Canal Company and which said company denied.
