In addition, the us. Has agreed to provide tons of heavy oil in the first year and of heavy oil annually thereafter, theoretically, at least, to offset the anticipated lost power produc tion from the existing 5 megawatt reactor and the 50 and 200 megawatt facilities when they came on line.
Much of the agreement depends on North Korea's good faith and requires the United States, South Korea, and Japan to perform first. Heavy fuel oil is provided within 90 days. Some barriers to trade and investment will be eased shortly, and talks get underway in the very near-term on providing the light water technology and opening diplomatic liaison offices in Pyon ang and Washington.
