Synopsis

This book is a comprehensive grammar of the Daa language, spoken by the tribes immediately south of the Apa Tanang country. The Daa language is not as well studied as other languages, but the author has made every effort to present a complete and accurate grammar of the language, with explanations of all the different parts of speech and how they are used. The book also includes a substantial amount of vocabulary, both in the form of a dictionary and example sentences. The Daa language is a Tibeto-Burman language, and is closely related to the languages spoken by the neighbouring tribes, such as the Apa Tanang and the Nyishi. The Daa language is spoken by a relatively small number of people, and is considered to be an endangered language. However, the author hopes that this grammar will help to preserve the language and promote its study. The grammar is divided into five parts. The first part deals with the sounds of the language, the second part with the different parts of speech, the third part with syntax, the fourth part with miscellaneous phrases and short stories, and the fifth part with a vocabulary. The grammar is written in a clear and concise style, and is suitable for both beginners and advanced students of the Daa language.
