The highest salaries paid in California State Teachers Col leges are 5 per cent lower than the highest salaries paid in five typical eastern and middle-western institutions and the Southern Branch of the University of California.
The lowest salaries paid in California State Teachers Col leges are 60 per cent higher than the lowest salaries paid in the same group of eastern institutions, and 10 per cent lower than the lowest salaries paid in the Southern Branch of the University of California.
The median salary in California State Teachers Colleges, the five eastern institutions and the Southern Branch of the University of California is the same.
Eliminating the 25 per cent receiving the highest salaries and the 25 per cent receiving the lowest salaries in each group, the middle 50 per cent of the teachers receive salaries as follows.
