Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book presents an extensive array of fine decorative arts and antiques from the personal collections of Marsden J. Perry and Richard A. Canfield. These notable collections included a diverse array of furniture, ceramics, bronzes, and other decorative objects, spanning various historical periods. Of particular interest are the examples of Chippendale, Sheraton, and Hepplewhite furniture, which showcase a range of styles from the early to late 18th century. These pieces, along with the accompanying Chinese porcelains and Barye bronzes, provide a glimpse into the artistic and aesthetic sensibilities of a bygone era. The book is meticulously illustrated, with detailed descriptions that highlight the craftsmanship and provenance of each item. It also includes a foreword by Luke Vincent Lockwood, providing additional context on the significance of these collections and their contributions to the understanding of decorative arts. This book is a valuable resource for collectors, art enthusiasts, and anyone interested in the history of decorative arts and design. It offers a unique opportunity to appreciate the artistry and grandeur of some of the most significant examples from this remarkable period.
