One week after that quiet Easter the people of Sharon, Farrell, Wheatland, Sharpsville, West Middlesex, and Greenville, the towns either suffering directly or most affected by the flood, were holding services of thanksgiving in the churches for their deliverance from the grip of the devastating waters, and the great disaster of 1913' had passed into history, leaving behind it a wake of damage and desolation, ruin and heart burning, and heroism.
