The second is ""Beekeeping: A Discussion of the Life of the Honeybee,"" first published in 1918, by Everett Franklin Phillips, of Cornell Bee Library fame. 457 pages contain 24 chapters and almost 200 illustrations with some photos. It is about keeping bees. It covers bee biology, colony organization, beekeeping equipment, managing for honey production, pests and diseases, wintering, honey sources, and queen rearing.
