About the Author

Otto Binder's résumé reads like a Who's Who of American Folk Heroes. During his 30-year comics career the veteran science fiction writer penned the comic-book adventures of Superman, Doc Savage, the Shadow, Captain America, Blackhawk, and most notably Captain Marvel and his supporting cast, the majority of whose Golden Age exploits sprang from Binder's fertile imagination.
