Renata Celichowska has been active as both a dance artist and scholar for over twenty-five years. A former member of the Erick Hawkins Dance Company, she is the author, director and producer of the book and two-volume video series The Erick Hawkins Modern Dance Technique (Princeton Book Publishers 2002). Ms. Celichowska has taught as a faculty member in New York University's Dance Education Program since 1996. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art from Yale University and a Master of Arts degree in Dance Education, History and Aesthetics from New York University. She is currently the Director of the 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Center in New York City.
