Amanda Doering Tourville is the author of more than 15 books for children. Her book Rain Forest ABC: An Alphabet Book (Capstone Press, 2004) was nominated for the 2005-2006 Mocking Bird Award. The same book was also on the American Library Association's booklist of Outstanding Science Read-Alouds. Amanda currently lives in St. Paul, Minnesota, with her husband and her chinchilla.
