Ability to do and say the right thing at the right time. I remember the day we met Elayne Donaldson, Shi Li Kyi, Candice Felioni and DeLa Lausen. We were all so young, so innocent, no clue to the unknown roads that await us, the altered tides that life has dealt. We remember the promise, the bond that nurtured our childhood fantasies. A BOND, as if it was sealed in blood. Some say, "it was a pact made with the Devil. Yeah, I remember, we remember, as though it was yesterday." "Do what you gotta do, when you gotta do it."

About the Author:

NYA DALON TERRY

I was born in Baltimore, Maryland on a Tuesday morning, approximately 6:45 am. My parents moved our dysfunctional family to Detroit when I was only 6 years of age. When I was twelve, I participated in my first fashion show, nervous and scared, I realized how much I loved being on stage.

I won sixteen trophies and nominations in all - from beauty contests, fashion designing and creativity, drama and comedy acting, and runway modeling. I didn't stop there, along with self-motivation and the need to block out negative surroundings I concentrated on things I enjoyed most.

I worked for Comcast Cable Co. as a Cable Programmer, a camera person, and floor director for the show - "Homework Hotline." I choreographed a dance troupe and created the costumes for the dancers and called them my African Fire Dancers, featuring a real fire baton eater. We danced around the floor as it burned and received a standing ovation.

I was kicked out of the house at seventeen, with no money and only the clothes on my back, by my Two Dollar Pimp of a father, for refusing to be a part of the shameful things that were going on in our household. "TACT" is related to personal and non- personal experiences, the people I met and places I've been, seen or heard; example; drugs, prostitution, murder, neighbor gang bangingshoot- outs, (they called themselves) professional and non-professional criminals, from backyard parties to yacht parties... and more. These are the roads I traveled and survived on the streets of Detroit, Michigan.

Anything and everything you could possibly dream - I was there or knew someone who was... then and still today, I believe in putting my best foot forward, standing strong against the odds, keeping cool, and staying FOCUSED.

"TACT" - "Do what you gotta do, when you gotta do it."
